Magnesium Oxide

Chemical grade magnesium oxide is produced as 98% pure MgO in a broad range of chemical activity and sizing.  All chemical grades are produced and packaged to meet the needs of a wide spectrum of industries including ceramics, fibers, rubber and plastics, electrical, foundries, specialty cements, aluminum, lube oil additives, leather tanning, chemical intermediates and utility fuel oil additives.

Specialty grades of magnesium oxide are used in grain-oriented steel, flame and smoke retardant applications, rubber and plastics.

Agricultural grades of magnesium oxide are useful in mineral premixes, as well as full feed formulations for dairy and beef cattle, pigs and poultry.

Water Treatment

Environmentally friendly water treatment products include magnesium hydroxide slurry for neutralizing acids, precipitating heavy metals and sulfur dioxide stack scrubbing. Also included are NSF Certified magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide products for drinking water and granular adsorbent products for removing metals from waste streams.

Wastewater Treatment

THIOGUARD® offers a safe, cost effective and environmentally responsible strategy for prolonging infrastructure life, managing odor, preventing plant upsets, improving treatment, and enhancing the quality of biosolids.  Thioguard is a proven product for water conditioning in municipal wastewater treatment plants. It is highly effective in reducing odor and corrosion due to hydrogen sulfide gas, reducing fats, oils and grease that contribute to SSO's as well as providing needed alkalinity that is consumed during wastewater treatment processes.

Paper & Pulp Applications

CellGuard^® magnesiun hydroxide aqueous suspension has multiple applications in pulp bleaching.
